Professor Medwin Hughes DL DPhil DPS FRSA was principal of Trinity University College, Carmarthen (2002–2010), Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wales, Lampeter (2009–2010)[1] and is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David (2010–incumbent) and of the University of Wales (2011–incumbent).
Hughes studied at Aberystwyth University and Jesus College, Oxford.
In October 2011, Hughes became Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wales amid scandal regarding the university's overseas validation process.[2]
